i3N researchers have achieved excellent scientific results, recognized with the award of 11 ERC grants as well as the number of international projects and patents, along with the scientific papers published on high impact factor journals, like Science, Nature, Progress in Materials Science and Advanced Materials.
i3N is dedicated to sustainable micro- and nanofabrication, advancing energy-efficient processes, waste reduction strategies, and innovative material integration. Our research spans photonic-enhanced solar cells, advanced energy storage solutions such as batteries and supercapacitors, self-powered electronics, and green hydrogen production. We also focus on functional nanomaterials, smart interfaces, and biomedical technologies, including biosensors, high-resolution medical imaging, and regenerative medicine. By combining cutting-edge materials science with sustainable engineering, i3N contributes to the development of eco-friendly and high-performance solutions for energy, electronics, and healthcare.
